Amy E. Goldstein, D.O., F.A.O.C.D.

Amy E. Goldstein, D.O., F.A.O.C.D.Dr. Amy Goldstein is a licensed and board certified dermatologist with ten years of experience, currently practicing at the Dermatology Center of Rockland.

After graduating from Brandeis University, Dr. Goldstein received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. She then completed internship and residency training in Dermatology at St. Barnabas Hospital, serving as Chief Resident. Upon her graduation, she was presented with the Janet M. Glasgow Achievement Award for Scholastic Excellence.

In addition to her training and practice experience, Dr. Goldstein is also a member of several professional organizations, including:

  • American Medical Association
  • American Osteopathic College of Dermatology
  • American Academy of Dermatology
  • New York County Medical Society
  • Dermatology Society of Greater New York

She has been seen on MSNBC and her work has appeared in medical journals and online. Dr. Goldstein also participated in research studies at both St. Barnabas Hospital and Mt. Sinai Medical Center. She has a special interest in Pediatric and Cosmetic Dermatology.

Elizabeth H. Knobler, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Elizabeth H. Knobler, M.D., F.A.A.D.Dr. Elizabeth Knobler is a board certified dermatologist with extensive experience in the field. Before joining the Dermatology Center of Rockland in 2012 she was a member of the full time faculty of the Department of Dermatology at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons for 23 years. While at Columbia Dr. Knobler taught medical students, residents as well as fellows, she participated in clinical research related to Dermatology, and provided general dermatologic care to patients. She continues her association with Columbia University teaching residents.

Dr. Knobler received her medical degree from S.U.N.Y. Stony Brook, completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in N.Y., and a three year residency in Dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.  She then completed a fellowship in Dermatopharmacology at New York University Medical Center.  Dr. Knobler has published widely in peer review journals. She has presented both at local professional meetings and at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Greater N.Y. Dermatologic Society. 


Leah H. Ansell, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Leah H. Ansell, M.D., F.A.A.D.Dr. Leah Ansell is a board-certified dermatologist and assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Medical Center. She is committed to providing her patients with personalized and comprehensive dermatologic care. She provides a variety of cosmetic and medical procedures and services including neurotoxins, injectable fillers, laser treatments, chemical peels as well as treatments for acne, psoriasis, eczema, hyperhidrosis, mole checks and skin cancer screening.

Dr. Ansell grew up in Chicago and graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College. She earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honors society for top graduating medical students. She was also awarded the Phi Rho Sigma Prize for highest overall standing and best performance in medical school. Dr. Ansell completed her Internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, followed by Dermatology Residency at Columbia University New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Ansell has publications in scientific journals and book chapters and has presented at national meetings. She plays an active role in the education of residents in the Department of Dermatology at Columbia University. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
