Dr. Cohen is a board-certified dermatologist with over 30 years of experience, specializing in Dermatology, Cosmetics, Lasers and Cutaneous Surgery. He is the senior partner at Dermatology Center of Rockland, P.C.
Dr. Cohen received his undergraduate degree in biology from Boston University and his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School. He completed (two) three year residency programs in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ University of Miami School of Medicine.
He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University School of Medicine, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has taught Dermatology to medical students, residents, and fellows for over 30 years. Before becoming an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Columbia University School of Medicine, he was an assistant clinical professor at NYU School of Medicine and taught at Bellview for 20 years. Dr. Cohen was also a dermatology staff member at the Cleveland Clinic and a member of Nyack Hospital where he was Chief of Dermatology.
Dr. Cohen has authored numerous Dermatologic Scientific publications and has lectured in his field nationally and internationally. He has received The American Academy of Dermatology “Bronze Award” for Original Investigative Research. He has also received The American Academy of Dermatology “Gold Level Award” for Community Service. Dr. Cohen has received recognition as one of America’s Top Dermatologists, Castle Connelly Top Doctors, and Hudson Valley Magazine Top Doctors. He was recognized by New Jerseys 201 Magazine as one of the top doctors in the New York tristate area.
He specializes in General, Pediatric, and Cosmetic Dermatology. He has expertise in BOTOX® Cosmetic, fillers, and laser surgery. He is an honorary police surgeon for The Rockland County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association and he is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology “Playsun Smart Program” who examines the New York Yankees and the New York Mets.
