Robert J. Cohen, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Cohen is a board-certified dermatologist with over 25 years of experience, specializing in Dermatology, Cosmetics, Lasers and Cutaneous Surgery. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University School of Medicine, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has taught Dermatology to medical students, residents, and fellows for over 25 years. Dr. Cohen received his undergraduate degree in biology from Boston University and his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School. He completed (two) 3 year residency programs in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ University of Miami School of Medicine.

Dr. Cohen has numerous Dermatologic Scientific publications and has lectured in his field nationally and internationally. He has received The American Academy of Dermatology “Bronze Award” for Original Investigative Research. He has also received The American Academy of Dermatology “Gold Level Award” for Community Service. Dr. Cohen has also received recognition as one of America’s Top Dermatologists, Castle Connelly Top Doctors.and Hudson Valley Magazine Top Doctors in 2018. He specializes in General, Pediatric, and Cosmetic Dermatology. He has expertise in BOTOX® Cosmetic, fillers, and laser surgery. He is an honorary police surgeon for The Rockland County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association and he is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology “Playsun Smart Program” who examines the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. He is also a member of numerous professional organizations:

Ingrid H. Olhoffer, M.D., F.A.A.D.

As a Yale trained Fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Dr. Ingrid Olhoffer has provided skin cancer surgery to patients at the Dermatology Center of Rockland since 2001. She has been on faculty at Yale and New York Universities, and currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Dermatology at Columbia University. At Columbia, she teaches residents, and holds hospital and academic appointments at the Columbia University New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Olhoffer received her medical degree and completed residency training in Dermatology at the Yale University School of Medicine. Dedicated to furthering her knowledge, Dr. Olhoffer also completed a fellowship in Advanced Dermatologic Surgery, including Mohs Micrographic Surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery, and cosmetic surgery (laser, soft tissue fillers, and BOTOX® Cosmetic) at Yale.

In addition to her practice experience, Dr. Olhoffer is also involved with several medical organizations including:

She has contributed to the leading dermatology journals and textbooks, and presented at numerous national meetings. Dr. Olhoffer has earned several professional recognition awards, including Castle Connolly Top Doctors, Who’s Who, America’s Top Physicians, and America’s Top Dermatologists.

 

Joshua P. Fogelman, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Joshua Fogelman is a board-certified, fellowship-trained dermatologist who has provided comprehensive care at the Dermatology Center of Rockland since 2002. In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Fogelman is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and is an Assistant Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

After receiving his medical degree Cum Laude from the Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Fogelman completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital of the Harvard Medical School. He was then a resident in Dermatology at the NYU School of Medicine, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dedicated to furthering his training and knowledge, Dr. Fogelman undertook a fellowship in laser and cosmetic dermatology in New York. Actively involved in the field of dermatology, Dr. Fogelman is associated with several professional organizations, including:

  • American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Fellow
  • American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Fellow
  • American Academy of Dermatology, Fellow

Within these and other organizations, Dr. Fogelman is also a member of various committees, having served on the Board of Advisors for the American Cancer Society in Rockland County and as a physician on the American Academy of Dermatology’s Play Sun Smart™ skin cancer screening events with the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. He also serves as a Police Surgeon with the Rockland County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association.

Dr. Fogelman is well-published in journals and textbooks, and has presented papers at annual meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the World Congress of Dermatology. He has received numerous awards and commendations, including the Research Award for the Best Resident Research Paper in Dermatology/Plastic Surgery by the American Society for Laser Medicine, and the Morris Leider Award at graduation from the NYU School of Medicine Department of Dermatology. He was elected to membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society at the University of Pennsylvania and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society at Yale University.

Dr. Fogelman has been named a “Top Doctor” by Hudson Valley Magazine and a “Top Doctor New York Metro Area” by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.

 

Amy E. Goldstein, D.O., F.A.O.C.D.

Dr. Amy Goldstein is a licensed and board-certified dermatologist with almost 20 years of experience, currently practicing at the Dermatology Center of Rockland.

After graduating from Brandeis University, Dr. Goldstein received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. She then completed internship and residency training in Dermatology at St. Barnabas Hospital, serving as Chief Resident. Upon her graduation, she was presented with the Janet M. Glasgow Achievement Award for Scholastic Excellence.

In addition to her training and practice experience, Dr. Goldstein is also a member of several professional organizations, including:

  • American Osteopathic College of Dermatology
  • American Academy of Dermatology
  • New York County Medical Society
  • Dermatology Society of Greater New York

Dr. Goldstein has been seen on MSNBC and her work has appeared in medical journals and online. Dr. Goldstein also participated in research studies at both St. Barnabas Hospital and Mt. Sinai Medical Center. She has a special interest in Pediatric and Cosmetic Dermatology.

 

Elizabeth H. Knobler, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Elizabeth Knobler is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience in the field. Before joining the Dermatology Center of Rockland in 2012 she was a member of the full time faculty of the Department of Dermatology at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons for 23 years. While at Columbia Dr. Knobler taught medical students, residents as well as fellows, she participated in clinical research related to Dermatology, and provided general dermatologic care to patients. She continues her association with Columbia University teaching residents.

Dr. Knobler received her medical degree from S.U.N.Y. Stony Brook, completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in N.Y., and a three year residency in Dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.  She then completed a fellowship in Dermatopharmacology at New York University Medical Center.  Dr. Knobler has published widely in peer review journals. She has presented both at local professional meetings and at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Greater N.Y. Dermatologic Society. 

 

Leah H. Ansell, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Leah Ansell is a board-certified dermatologist and assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Medical Center. She is committed to providing her patients with personalized and comprehensive dermatologic care. She provides a variety of cosmetic and medical procedures and services including neurotoxins, injectable fillers, laser treatments, chemical peels as well as treatments for acne, psoriasis, eczema, hyperhidrosis, mole checks and skin cancer screening.

Dr. Ansell grew up in Chicago and graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College. She earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honors society for top graduating medical students. She was also awarded the Phi Rho Sigma Prize for highest overall standing and best performance in medical school. Dr. Ansell completed her Internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, followed by Dermatology Residency at Columbia University New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Ansell has publications in scientific journals and book chapters and has presented at national meetings. She plays an active role in the education of residents in the Department of Dermatology at Columbia University. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

 

Marcel Perl, M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Marcel Perl is a board-certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of skin cancer and to the comprehensive health of his patients. He has a special interest in the treatment of eczema and other inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis and acne. Dr. Perl has published in scientific journals on his research in dermatology and immunology.

Dr. Perl grew up in Upstate NY and graduated from Harvard College with a degree in History. He then pursued Lupus Research at Beth-Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston followed by medical school at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He received his training in Internal Medicine at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital and completed his Dermatology Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. He greatly enjoys teaching medical students and in his spare time is an avid soccer player and fan.
